Module 1: The Next Level of Essential Endodontics
Day One: Lectures
1- Foundations & Main Principles of Endodontic Diagnosis
2- Radiographic Acquisition Techniques in Endodontics & interpretation
3- Rubber dam isolation in endodontics
4- Root Canal System morphology of different teeth
5- Access cavity; main principles and modern trends.
6- Scouting & Glide path preparation of complex root canal systems .
7- Different Techniques for Preparation of severely curved canals .
8- Foundations & Types of Endodontic Rotary Systems .
9- General Discussion.
Day Two : Lectures & Hands-On (Microscopic Dem & Loupes magnification for Participants)
· Irrigation and management of accidents: A-Z .
· Principles & Requirements of Root Canals Fillings .
· Different Techniques for Obturation of root canal system .
· Rubber Dam Isolation using different techniques with different scenarios .
· Access Cavity preparation on anterior and Premolars .
· Access Cavity on posterior upper and lower molars .
· Cleaning and shaping of simple and moderate complex cases using advanced rotary systems.
· Obturation using Continuous Waves Compaction technique (Obturated Samples will be used in Module 2)
· General Discussion .
Module 2: The Next Level Retreatments & Calcifications Management
Day One: Lectures
1- Foundations and Principles of Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) .
2- Main Concepts of Ultrasonics and Tips’ types and applications in endodontics .
3- Management of Calcifications of the root canal systems .
4- Reasons, Etiology of RCTs’ failure .
5- Ledges and Blocked Canals: Reasons and Management
6- Main considerations and Complications of endodontic Retreatments .
7- Techniques for removal of restorations & Core materials and silver cones .
8- Protocols and methods for removal of Metallic and Fiber Posts .
9- Methods and instruments for removal of root canal filling materials .
Day Tow : Lectures .
1- Implementing of CBCT in Daily Endodontics (Presenting Clinical Cases) .
2- Endodontic Emergencies and dealing with hot endodontically treated teeth .
Hands-On (6.5 hours): all procedures under loupes and microscopic magnification
· Introducing CBCT software (Demo and Hands-on) .
· Practical on different tools of CBCT software and its implementation on endo cases (Demo & hands-on) .
· Ultrasonic refining of access cavities & exploring MM and MB2 canals (Demo & hands-on) .
· Removal of Core materials and metal & fiber posts using ultrasonics (Demo & hands-on).
· Mechanical and manual removal of old filling materials (Demo & hands-on) .
· Bypass Ledges and Root canals cleaning & shaping then obturation of retreated teeth (Demo & hands-on) .
· General Discussion.
Module 3: The Next Level Advanced Non-Surgical Endodontics
Day One: Lectures
1- Vital Pulp Therapy of Mature teeth .
2- Calcium Silicate Materials in Endodontics .
3- Management of open apex of immature teeth .
4- Perforations of the Root Cana System; Reasons and Management.
5- Regenerative endodontics using Calcium Silicate Based materials.
6- Instruments Fracture: Etiology, Contributing Factors and Mechanism .
7- Methods & techniques for removal of fractured instruments.
8- Complications of Fractured Files Management and Decision Making.
Day Two : Lectures
Hands-On: all procedures under microscope magnification
1- Repair of Bifurcation Perforations using MTA cements and Bioceramic Putty and Hands-on .
2- Removal of fractured files located in the coronal third of the root canal and Hands-on .
3- Bypass of a Fractured Files using manual and rotary files (30 mins) and Hands-on .
4- Removal of fractured files located in the middle third of the root canals and Hands-on.
5- Apical plug for open apex teeth and coronal plug for revascularization of immature teeth and Hands-on.
6- General Discussion on all Diploma
